Tyler  Osterman, Hornet Quarterback, signed to play football for Centre College in Kentucky starting in the fall.
Tyler Osterman was also selected for 1st Team All-Academic Ohio for Basketball. Only 10 young men are selected from each of Ohio’s four divisions, based on academic achievements as well as baksetball skills.

Summer is about to start, but Fall soccer is right around the corner. You can register online through June 7 online at www.monroesoccer.net.
Monroe Soccer has teams for ages 4 through 15 (Candy through Minors). All divisions are gender split and teams are chosen through a blind draw.
Games will be in MVS area, practices will be in Monroe. Candy games will be in Monroe. Most games will be played on weekends starting around the last week of August.
Costs are $60.00 for 1 child (2nd child $50, 3rd child $35, 4th-up free). Shirts, shorts, socks will be provided.

Cheerleading is for 1st through 6th grade only.
The sign up dates are Monday, May 19th from 4:30-8:00 at the community room at the city building.
Also, Thursday, May 22nd from 4:30-7:30, also at the community room.
There will be no late sign ups, so please show up to one of these dates.

Who:
** Ages 5 to 17. T-Ball thru High School.
** T-Ball divisions will be gender split.

What:
** Baseball for boys.
** Softball (Fastpitch) for girls.

Where:
** Boys Kinder T and Coach Pitch will be @ Monroe Park.
** All other Girls/Boys divisions will Travel and home games @ Monroe
Park.

When:
** Opening day is May 3, 2008. Season goes from May 3rd to sometime in July.

Costs:

This will be the Monroe Wee Hornets’ 7th annual Christmas Tree Sale. We are located at the Entrance to the Monroe Community Park.

This year we have added Cannan Firs along with Concolor Firs which bring us to 7 different types of trees. We also will be selling Scotch and White Pines, Blue Spruce, Douglas Firs, and Fraser Firs. Total of 280 trees.

HOURS:Weeknights Monday through Friday 5:30 to 8:00.
Saturdays 11:00 to 9:00 and Sundays 12:00 to 8:00.

Sunday, May 6th is the only fitting date for new cheerleaders that need fitted.It is strongly recommended that you get fitted. The representative from the Varsity Cheer Company will be at the Community Room in Monroe on this date only.
