The Monroe Optimist would like to invite you to help plan the Second Annual Christmas on the Plaza. We will be holding meetings beginning Aug. 7th at 7:00 pm at the James Monroe Community Room located in the rear of the City Building at 233 South Main Street, Monroe. Anyone interested in volunteering to help with the planning of this event should attend. The Optimist Club of the Monroe-Area is sponsoring “Christmas on the Plaza” at the Monroe City Hall plaza, scheduled for Saturday, December 8, 2007. This is a great opportunity for you and your organization to get involved in a worthwhile project. At our first meeting, Cherie Gentry was named Event Chairperson and will be organizing and assigning committees for various functions that will take place at “Christmas on the Plaza”.
