New MACF Scholarship for 2008
Gina Radenheimer-Miltenberger has opened and funded a Monroe High School scholarship to honor her late husband, Monte Richard Miltenberger, who passed away in February 2004. Beginning in the spring of 2008, it will award $250 every year to a graduating senior who is planning to enter a field of study in a technical or vocational school.
In 1998, both Monte and Gina established a fund under the Monroe Area Community Foundation for the first thermal imaging camera for the Monroe Fire Department. The Monroe community responded favorably, and the camera was purchased and delivered in August of 1999.
The son of Gloria A. and the late Richard L. Miltenberger, Monte graduated from Lemon-Monroe High School in 1974. His wife, Gina, graduated from Monroe in 1982. Monte’s five siblings are also alumni of Monroe. They are: Scott (1968), Steve (1970), Todd (1976), Lee Ann (1979) and Kala (1971). Monte’s two sons, Alex Jacob and Ryan Jacob, are scheduled to graduate from Monroe in 2014 and 2021. Many other nieces and nephews are also graduates of Monroe Schools or are currently enrolled there. Scholarships have already been funded through the MACF for Monte’s deceased father, Richard, and sister, Lee Ann.
If you or someone you know is interested in funding a scholarship to memorialize a loved one through the Monroe Area Community Foundation, please contact Ron Tubbs (513-320-3674) or Gloria Miltenberger (513-633-7672).
