Create Your Free Message of Hope at the “Hope Tiles Blitz”

Craft your own message of hope for whatever concerns you have and make it a part of a special portable kiosk to be positioned at various locations in downtown Middletown.

The Middletown Arts Center will provide everything you need to prepare your individualized “Hope Tile” for free when you stop by the Center on Saturday, March 15th between 1:00 and 3:00 PM. You don’t have to be an artist to participate; you only have to be a person of HOPE! All necessary materials will be provided — paint, markers, stencils, patterns and ideas.

The kiosk will consist of a number of ceramic tiles on which you draw, paint or write your words of hope, a name, a simple prayer or a quote. Each tile is 4” x 4”, so it doesn’t take a lot to fill one. When completed, the tiles will be kiln fired, framed and mounted on the kiosk walls. The goal of the Middletown Arts Center is to complete enough personalized tiles to fill one entire panel and have the center tiles tell about the Center’s unique hopes for the future.

Initially intended to raise hope for breast cancer victims, the program has grown to include others who have deep concerns for themselves, family members or friends as a result of acute personal situations. Matters of health, life circumstances, or even the well-being of our community are hopeful causes.
