Disc Golf

Disc Golf at the Park

The area’s newest disc golf course opened June 21 at the Community Park.
Disc golf (sometimes known as Frisbee Golf) is a game first made popular in the 1970s, played in an open field or a wooded area with targets or baskets called “Entrapment Devices.”
The course begins next to the log cabin and winds back through the woods at the southeast end of the park.
It’s an easy sport to begin – equipment costs are low and the rules are fairly simple. For those serious disc players, there are various leagues and competitions throughout the area.
A basic set of rules is printed here to get you started. For more information on the game, or for a complete set of rules, please visit the Greater Cincinnati Flying Disc Association web site at www.cincinnatidiscgolf.com .
