Conrad Birdie, an Elvis-like teen heart throb, has been drafted into the Army. In an attempt to rid himself of debt and to move on with his life his manager, Albert Peterson and Rose Alvarez, Albert's secretary and girlfriend, plan for Conrad to give one lucky fan a good bye kiss on the Ed Sullivan Show. Unfortunately, Kim MacAfee, the fan they pick, has just been pinned by her boyfriend Hugo Peabody. Conrad's presence brings chaos to Sweet Apple, Ohio in the form of screaming mobs of fans, Kim's put upon family, a very jealous Hugo and Albert's overbearing mother. Patsy Cline Singing Her Heart Out at La Comedia Dinner Theater

La Comedia dinner theater has started its 2012 season with “A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline”. Patsy Cline is one of the classis and most famous country music stars of all time. In “ A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline” the role of Patsy Cline is played by Leslie Jo Bisset. Leslie has played the role of Patsy Cline multiple times and she doesn’t disappoint the audience with her portrayal of Patsy Cline.  Read more »

Loads of Hairspray on the La Comedia Stage

Through June 26th La Comedia Dinner Theater will be featuring the Broadway play Hairspray! La Comedia’s production of Hairspray doesn’t disappoint. Experienced actors from across the country treat the audience to good music and great acting.

Hairspray is set in the 1960’s during the civil rights era. The musical explores some of the struggles that African-Americans faced during the 1960’s. Read more »

Performing Arts Academy Shows

The Children's Performing Theatre of the Performing Arts Academy will present "The Story of the Nutcracker: A Musical Theatre with Ballet" on December 11, 12 and 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Monroe High School auditorium. Tickets are available for $12.00.
On December 18 and 19, the troupe will perform "Frosty's First Adventure" at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00.
