Mount Pleasant Retirement Village Introduces Pilates Rehab

Mount Pleasant Retirement Village is pleased to announce the addition of Pilates Reformers to its Physical Therapy Program.

Pilates is a form of exercise developed by Joseph Pilates.  The exercises are instrumental in building balance & develop muscle of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness to promote efficient and graceful moments.  "A Pilates Reformer improves balance, increases the effectiveness of a traditional physical therapy program, and teaches patients to "unlearn" inefficient movement patterns and improve core strength and stability", says Veronica Sterling, Administrator of Mount Pleasant Retirement Village.  This is a great addition to traditional therapy.

Mount Pleasant Retirement Village is one of eleven communities owned and operated by OPRS headquartered in Columbus, Ohio.  OPRS serves more than 4,500 residents each year.
