“Suites Cruise In” September 20th

Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus will be holding a "Cruise In" with antique cars (pre-1972) on Sunday, September 20th. This will be a family event with activities for the kids, door prizes and food. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association. Have a loved one who might need Physical Therapy? Occupational Therapy? Speech Therapy? Confused on the differences? Come to the Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus, 5414 Hankins Road on Thursday May 21 from 5 to 7pm and learn the basics of these different types of therapy programs and techniques. "Boss Number One!"

Ruby Williams, a Hawthorn Glen assisted living resident, celebrates her 100th birthday. Ruby is blessed with 99 grandchildren (with grandchild 100 due in May!). When asked which grandchild is her favorite, she says “I love them all.” When asked if her 100 years went by fast Ruby says “sure they did, they flew by.” Her secret to living a long and happy life—“I enjoy and love everyone. I’m boss number one!” How did she cope with a lifetime of challenges in her 100 years--“the Lord said He would never put on us more than we can handle and He sure was right!”

LeSourdsville Lake Expert Coming to Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus

Re-live your LeSourdsville Lake/Americana memories at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus on Monday, March 23, 7pm to 8pm. This event is free and open to the public. The presenter is Scott Fowler, Vice President of the Southwest Ohio Amusement Park Historical Society, Inc. The SOAPHS is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the memories of over 16 amusement parks that were located in the area, including LeSourdsville Lake (Americana). He is a former employee of LeSourdsville Lake and has maintained a web site (www.americanaamusementpark.com) dedicated to the park since 1997. Mr. Fowler has over 300 LeSourdsville Lake artifacts and priceless photographs in his collection, many of which he will bring to this event. Relive your special summer memories of LeSourdsville Lake at the Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus on Monday, March 23 from 7pm to 8pm. This event is free and open to the public. He is a former employee of LeSourdsville Lake and his personal collection of LeSourdsville Lake artifacts numbers well over 300 items, dating back to the 1930's. "The King of Rock & Roll" made a special appearence at the Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Center. Elvis (Brad Scott) entertained Hawthorn Glen residents including Middletown native Tom Abell. This is just one of many social events residents can enjoy at the Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Center.
