Monroe Cub Scouts Plant Flowers at Local Church

On September 27, Den 2, of Monroe Cub Scout Pack 54, completed a conservation service project at the Monroe Church of the Nazarene, where the scouts meet. The scouts, all third graders at Monroe Local Schools, planted more than 200 flowers and bulbs, installed cut-edges to the flower beds, and removed weeds from the flower beds around the church and parish. In addition, the scouts picked up trash from the entire church grounds. This project not only beautified the church, it also taught the scouts many landscaping fundamentals and techniques.
