MONROE - The MOMS Club of Monroe/Middletown is organizing a "10 Most Wanted Items" drive to benefit the Dayton area Ronald McDonald House. “One of the purposes of MOMS Club is to help moms and children in our community. This year we’ve decided to help the Ronald McDonald House in Dayton by doing a “10 Most Wanted Items” drive,” said Darlene McKnight, Monroe/Middletown MOMS Club President.

Christmas on the Plaza

The Optimist Club of the Monroe-Area is sponsoring “Christmas on the Plaza” at the Monroe City Hall plaza, scheduled for Saturday, December 8, 2007. This is a great opportunity for you and your organization to get involved in a worthwhile project. At our first meeting, Cherie Gentry was named Event Chairperson and will be organizing and assigning committees for various functions that will take place at “Christmas on the Plaza”. MOMS Club of Middletown/Monroe Holds Donation Drive

The Middletown/Monroe chapter of MOM Club International held a “Necessities Drive” to benefit the Dove House, a protective shelter for victims of domestic violence in Butler County. The “Necessities Drive” was held at the Monroe Kroger on Saturday, April 14. Items collected by the MOMS Club included new and used clothing, household items, cleaning supplies, toiletries, paper goods, food, and monetary donations. Kroger Stores also donated a $25 gift certificate to the Dove House. “Despite the weather, the community response was fantastic. People were very generous and supportive.
