EXHIBIT TO FEATURE HISTORICAL PAINTINGS OF LATE AREA ARTIST

The Middletown Arts Center in cooperation with the Middletown Historical Society and MidPointe Library System is presenting an exhibition of the work of Herbert Fall, a Butler County artist known for his vivid depictions of local historical scenes.

Fall was born in 1891, the descendent of Miami Valley pioneers. His very first painting, made while a student at old Red Buck School in Warren County, won first prize in an exhibit at the Farmer’s Institute in Monroe. He received his formal art education at the Chicago Art Institute and the Art Academy in Cincinnati. Read more »

2014 Young Artists Workshop at the Middletown Arts Center

The Middletown Arts Center will conduct its annual summer youth workshop for children entering grades kindergarten through 5 beginning on June 23rd and continuing until July 3rd. Times vary. For children entering Kindergarten & 1st Grade, workshop time is 9:30 AM ~ 11 AM, while the time for children entering 2nd through 5th Grades is 9:30 AM ~ 11:30 AM. Read more »

Create Your Free Message of Hope at the “Hope Tiles Blitz”

Craft your own message of hope for whatever concerns you have and make it a part of a special portable kiosk to be positioned at various locations in downtown Middletown.

The Middletown Arts Center will provide everything you need to prepare your individualized “Hope Tile” for free when you stop by the Center on Saturday, March 15th between 1:00 and 3:00 PM. You don’t have to be an artist to participate; you only have to be a person of HOPE! All necessary materials will be provided — paint, markers, stencils, patterns and ideas. Read more »

Chase Those Winter Blues Away at the Ohio Watercolor Society Exhibit Opening Reception

Lift your spirits with a display of award-winning watercolor paintings, sample a hors d’oeuvres buffet, enjoy a hot or cold beverage and the easy blues of Gregg Clark, watch MAC watercolor instructors demonstrate their skills, and mingle with friends in the warm and inviting setting of the Middletown Arts Center. The 2014 Opening Reception of the OWS Travel Show comprises forty select paintings, including all award winners, from this year’s competition. Middletown Civic Chorus Presents Handel's Messiah.

The Middletown Civic Chorus will begin weekly practices for our annual presentation of Handel's Messiah. Practices are held Tuesdays through October and November beginning October 16th from 7-9pm. Participants must be a freshmen in high school or older are invited to join us. The performance will be Sunday December 2, 2012 at 3 pm. All practices and performance will be held at the First Christian Church located at 4520 Rosedale Rd Middletown, OH 45042.
